This is really interesting! I was born premature (8 weeks), and had bleeding on the brain. My Mom was told I may never walk or talk, and will eventually have learning difficulties. Ironically, I can walk fine, but I do stutter and I'm identified with a learning disability. I had trouble focusing in school, was diagnosed with ADHD, put on Ritalin. I don't remember my childhood that much due to being bullied constantly, but I know I was taken off Ritalin at a young age (I wanna say 10? 🤔). Coincidentally, when I was taken off the Ritalin, the stutter seemed to start. I've been in and out of speech therapy for years, from childhood to now adult. I'm now back on ADHD meds (Concerta, 27mg) along with anti-depressants. It's been a rollercoaster.
