My first IT job was during college. I monitored the company's backups on 3rd shift. That's how I was able to get my entry level "experience" as opposed to doing helpdesk. I still had to make phone cold calls if/when the jobs blew up and that was a struggle for me, but I just kept at it, didn't quit and tried different ways to be able to make a call and not stutter. I eventually figured out my own way to cope with those situations. After 3 years of this job and graduating, I got a job as a PC Tech and moved up quickly from there. How does your current internship supervisor feel about you and your stutter? ALL of my bosses were the nicest people and I think that played a big role in my ability to deal. I struggled with stuttering with anybody I perceived as having a higher social status than me - think Boss, parents, etc. Having nice people around you that are supervisors helps, but you can't know that until you're in the mix.
