The National Stuttering Association annual conference is in Chicago this year [PLUG] Hi Everyone. I wanted to plug the national stuttering association a moment if I could. The annual conference meets every July in various parts of the country. This coming conference in July 2018 is in Chicago. See link below. I've been involved with the local NSA chapters in various places that I've lived over the past few years and I I can honestly say that they've changed my life. It's not therapy, it's not meant to be therapy. But, there's power in hearing the stories of people who stutter--hearing what they struggle with, how they cope or don't, what their lives are like. When I first started going to the local NSA chapters I was scared and shocked. These people are just going to openly stutter here? WTF, if they think I'm going to do that they are crazy. Overtime I saw the power in that safe space. If you can't or don't want to attend the national conference.
