There's nothing physically holding your throat or vocal cords. You're doing it because you want to speak but you don't want to stutter so you're left at this very hard impasse. Once you can slowly let yourself stutter a little, you won't block. The way to get past a block is to make sound. Giving yourself permission to stutter is the antidote to blocks.
