It could have something to do with confidence. I’m much more fluent in English than in other languages as it is my native language, and I tend to stutter much less while speaking it than in other languages. Therefore I tend be more confident while speaking English, and I think that’s why I stutter less while speaking it. Also, when I know I’m about to block on an English word, I know many more synonyms to use instead of that word.
