I see a lot of patients everyday and a lot of consultants (some who are really mean). We usually go in groups so there’s always at least 5 people in the room. Sometimes patients aren’t the most friendliest either hahaha. Ive been hung up on phone calls too before and have struggled to introduce myself. I used to be shit scared of introducing myself to a group. But I realized life is all about communicating and I wanted to make a change for myself. Ive done a lot of research. A LOTTT. The book I told you about changed everything. The PDF is linked on my stuttering support instagram. Honestly it’ll change your life because it changed mine! A lot of people will tell you you’ll have good days and bad days. F THAT LOL I want everyday to be a good day. That book helped me changed my perspective on my stutter and practice strategies to improve my fluency. If you decide to read it, I would love to accompany you on your journey, talk about progression and strategies and work to help you overcome this. Just remember one thing though, I learned this from the book. We can never pretend to be 100% fluent. There’s no cure to this. But no one, and I mean no one is 100% fluent. Everyone has breaks and pauses in their speech, some more than others. It’s what we do when we stutter, or how we react to those around us that really matters.
