Considering Changing My Name

Considering Changing My Name My whole life I have struggled to say my name. I’m not an anxious or nervous person, in fact, I’d consider myself somewhat extroverted. My name starts with an “N”, and I end up prolonging that letter for eternity. It’s absolutely noticeable, and literally every interaction has ended with “did you forget your name?” Or “are you okay?”. Introducing myself is a nightmare, telling a barista my name for an order is dreadful, and overall first impressions never go well. I have done okay for myself, but I feel my name is getting in the way of opportunities, meeting new people, etc. I feel like a prisoner in my own head. Has anyone considered changing their name because of their stutter?
