Hi, I moved in Germany in 2018 and started to learn German myself 3 Months before that in Internet. Try it too, you can surely manage A1/A2 on your own, then it will be a little easier. It will be hard, but not as hard as you think and it is not worth your insomnia and weight loss. Just dont forget it: "It will be not as bad as you think". The stutterers always think of the worst case scenario but normally it is not as bad. After a week in Germany things will get better, after a month even better (or less terrible?), and so on... So the best thing you can do to kill the time, learn german online, there are plenty of good resources. And dont overthink things to much, you will not die so this "fight-or-flight" reaktion is a little bit too much :) You will surely make it, dont be scared.
