The teacher laughing is unacceptable. I would go and talk to him. Maybe write him an email if you are more comfortable that way. You save the next student from embarrassment. Chances are he didn't know that you had a speech impediment. We stutterer sometimes can hide it so well. My wife took awhile to realize I stutter.
