Yes, in fact most people who stutter, remove stuttering in a couple of years. So if you started stuttering this year then it's not chronic and most people in this stage who stutter, remove stuttering (about 80% according to scientific research which is called 'outgrowing one's stuttering'). Scientific research says that there is no specific reason that most people remove stuttering. These 80% of people automatically outgrow stuttering. There is no cure/treatment to remove stuttering so.. my advice is, don't focus on treatment (which attaches importance to trigger increasing expectancy). Focus on natural speech by not reacting to your stutter triggers and basically (mentally) act as if you are a non-stutterer. Makes sense? Learn to not be in fight or flight response whenever you stop compulsion. Make a condition to accept and be okay with stopping compulsion.
