Hey there! First off, preschool teachers have my utmost respect. You guys work your butts off everyday for those kids and I know I could never fit in your shoes. I'm sorry to hear that stuttering is affecting your job too. I'm happy to provide some resources for you. 1. Self therapy can be a good starting place while you are looking for a skilled SLP that can help. There is a great book called "Self Help for the Stutterer", made free by the Stuttering Foundation. You can find it [here.](https://www.stutteringhelp.org/sites/default/files/Book0012.pdf) 1. There are some [other free books here](https://www.stutteringhelp.org/free-e-books) that you may find relevant. I like the "Advice to Those Who Stutter" book. It's an oldie but a goodie. 2. While all SLPs receive education in fluency disorders during graduate school, I find it best to find someone that specializes in stuttering and fluency disorders, especially for adults who are experiencing big quality of life impacts due to their stutter. Kind of the same way that you would see a specialist for an uncommon medical problem. Finding an SLP who specializes in fluency disorders can be challenging if you don't live near a big city. With the increase in virtual therapy though, it has become easier. Here are your best resources for finding one: 1. Find someone who is board certified as a specialist in fluency disorders. [American Board of Fluency and Fluency Disorders](https://www.stutteringspecialists.org). 2. Check out the [therapist referral list](https://www.stutteringhelp.org/therapy-referrals) on the Stuttering Foundation website. 3. Finally, I have found maybe the most benefit from attending stuttering support groups. The National Stuttering Association has [many chapters across the country](https://westutter.org/chapters/) that are led and attended by people who stutter in your local community. It's been easier to join as well, as many are doing Zoom meetings due to COVID. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions! I'm happy to chat. You've got this!
