It has its upsides & downsides like any other job. I worked with some instructors that were super passionate about it & would have done it forever if they could. I personally didn't enjoy it though. Not sure what branch you are, but I was Air Force at the time (now Space Force) & it was typically 10 - 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. Sometimes more, sometimes less depending on the week of training the flight was in & other factors.
