This is a really tough thing. I struggled with this a lot in my teens and early 20's. That being said... It's not your stutter that will get in the way. I always thought the stutter was my problem. It's all about confidence. People are attracted to confidence. Many stutterers lack confidence. Find the confidence talk *with* her. Maintain eye contact. Smile. Stay out of your own head. Remember that she wants to make a good impression as well. If you're thinking about your stutter during the date, that's going to be a wet blanket. Be determined to enjoy the date. We will sometimes run into shallow people that can't get past someone's stutter. Your stutter is an advantage in these situations. You're weeding out the bad apples early. And remember that a date is just a date. We all have good dates and bad dates. Focus on having a good time with her. Making a good impression should come naturally. Be the best you, without trying too hard to impress anyone else. Maybe try a few practice flirts with strangers between now and then... "I usually don't approach women because of my stutter, but you leave me speechless."
