Next time you gotta just know that sometimes you have no choice but to speak on a whim and spontaneously. Since you were the only other person to raise your hand there will probably be many opportunities to assist the other person or cover for them when they aren’t at school. Put it behind you and be open to the next opportunity. It reminds me of when I had a crush on a girl in high school, and if I got scared and didn’t approach her, I would feel so bummed and regretful that I didn’t approach her. Then at that very moment she would walk past me in the hallway again, but since I was feeling down and distracted I would miss the opportunity again to approach her! So what I’m saying is that if you’re not so focused on regret, you will be ready when another opportunity comes
