Envision yourself doing well. I said a prayer that you’ll do well. I’m in IT these days but have had a couple of sales roles in the past. What helped me to be successful was to come up with spiels, rehearsed. I find that repetitive spiels make fluency a lot easier as you are accessing a different part of the brain. This might explain why actors who stutter, don’t, when they are ‘acting’. You can mention your stuttering in your interview if you feel it necessary however, the key to any interview, especially in sales, is to express how YOU will be an excellent fit for that particular role. I once interviewed for the electronics position at Costco and expressed how I would boost the store’s ranking for extended warranties. I provided a strategy I came up with to do so. I got the position and fulfilled my promise. We went from last place to number one within a month for our state. I ended up calling the top 5 stores, in the company for extended warranties, and asked what they were doing to rank so high. I applied their techniques to our store and we did well - month after month.
