Talking is talking. Stuttering is something else. Stuttering is a condition that affects talking. But yes, speech therapy can help with the stuttering. That's not just "getting good at talking", though. It's "getting good at talking while stuttering", which obviously isn't the same. - As for me, I do the usual bunch of stutter things in varying degrees. Since I have to communicate a lot in my job, there's plenty of opportunity for the various stutter elements. But since I've been at it for many years (and this is speaking of my case in particular, not in general), I've gotten more used to it, and I'm better at handling it as a result.
