Yep. You’ve probably heard of the stuttering iceberg right? The more you’re able to process and manage the feelings that often accompany stuttering like anxiety, hopelessness, worthlessness, and shame the less you will struggle with stuttering. The less you care about stuttering, the less you will struggle, and the more fluent you can become. But the goal has to be acceptance not fluency for it to work. With age it also becomes easier. Being a teenager is probably the hardest time. Later in life once you have a family with a stable job with a down to earth social life, the less of an impact stuttering will have.
