If I asked you how you ”unlearned” such a critical skill in the first place, you probably wouldn’t have a good answer. I think a more likely situation is that it’s a complex handicap affected by a large number of variables, some controllable, others uncontrollable. A handicap that waxes and wanes, with periods of fluency alternating with periods of dysfluency. You learn a new technique only for it to stop working when you really needed it. Desperately chasing a fix is no way to live. In the long term, the only general advice that works for stuttering is to accept your limitations and love yourself in spite of them. Control the variables that are possible to control. That is strength, not weakness.
