My parents noticed early I had trouble talking early. 2nd or 3rd grade started speech therapy (in school til the day I graduated HS) also blessed to have the same speech therapist still have contact with her. My factors like everyone else here so far are the same other then “the sleep” aspect. For me it’s been always been hard to explain it mainly depends on my emotions and the situation at that moment. When I get mad, frustrated, over excited, it gets to that point I get stuck on words I usually don’t. Because of that I’m feeling pissed an know I gotta start the sentence all over again. Yes I do the facial expressions as well. When it comes to family, friends, work know I stutter an let me take my time to say what I need to. But when I go to a bar start a convo with a new person they think 1. I’m retarded 2. I’m drunk or fucked up or 3. I’m lying about stuttering. 4. I’m stuttering being I’m lying…I heard it all now being 30. My wife printed out cards that explain stuttering and the main effects so that helps
