This may not be true for all universities, but when I utilized free speech therapy at my university, my therapist was a graduate student who specialized in stuttering. They weren’t “newbies,” so to speak, but instead they were at the point in their studies where they were taking patients on as part of a specialized internship/clinical thing. That’s definitely something to think about though!
