Started a new job, found out the CEO has a stutter So I started a new job last week that I was really excited about but a bit nervous as having a stutter can make it hard to introduce yourself to son many new people. Despite this, I handled it pretty well. Near the end of the week, we had a company-wide meeting where our CEO presented. His speech would block on certain sounds and he would repeat some sounds 10 or more times before moving on. That's when I realized he also has a stutter, which made me feel a lot better about the new job. A few years ago I had a lot of self-esteem issues with stuttering and feeling like I couldn't accomplish my goals because I had a stutter. Discovering that the CEO was a stutter showed me that I can't use my stutter as an excuse anymore. Just wanted to share this story because I've never worked with anyone else who has a stutter, much less someone in such a high position. It really helped take the pressure off for me.
