It's very frustrating having a stutter. Everything is 10x harder. I'm 23 and i had stutter when I was 4 years old. My social skills suffer because of it. It's like having a barrier or armor, you close yourself to people, you become silent. People don't tske you seriously when you have a stutter. It's one of the main reasons why i joined the gym so that people take me more seriously. Never had a relationship in my life too. And im 23, most of my peers already had at least 2 relationships. It's very frustrating and depressing. Idk what to do. I tried speech therapy, almost became fluent when reading things, although there was one situation in uni where i stutter very hard when reading stuff out loud and i just shut off. I remember getting very frustrated and angry. I remember punching the walls and crying a little when i got back home. There are literally no positives to stuttering, only suffering.
