Depiction of stuttering in film Pan’s Labyrinth, Sixth Sense, Die Hard 3. Even that episode of The Office. That moment in “It” when the kid suddenly didn’t stutter during his big speech because he was so brave and confident. Pretty sure the Collector in Infinity War had something going on too. Just found this sub, sorry if it’s been discussed, but is it as uncomfortable for you too when you’re watching something with friends or family and someone’s stutter becomes an unneeded fucking plot point in the movie? It shouldn’t bother me as much as it does but more often than not they are portrayed as weak, or as victims, and it bums me out.
