Thank you for your story. "Be cocky, like not confident, but cocky, like in your head." Cockiness is about being confident, though. How do you define this cockiness then? I view it as overly or beyond confident to the point that it's coupled with attributes like pride and thinking you're better than the people around you. And if you have this level of confidence in your head you have to base it on something of value so my question is this: were you overly confident or cocky in your >*knowledge*< as well, ie. did you know what to say, just have trouble saying it? Did you feel like you were "the man" (just assuming you're male) but just had this hurdle of a speech impediment that kept you down? I mean, it's akin to convincing yourself you're the most interesting person in the room, right? It's just that then you must have stuff to say that is really interesting. Did you have trouble with this?
