First of all, thank you for being so open and willing to help your daughter in any way! It’s awesome that she has a parent like you. Personally, I know my stutter’s severity fluctuates based on outside stress, but can also fluctuate based on nothing at all. I could be totally happy and everything is going well and my stutter gets bad. I found that breathing exercises really help when it gets like this. I would make breathing exercises a routine during the day, not when she is in the middle of a block. I used to hate when my parents would make me take a deep breath when I was struggling to get a word out. It made me angry and I would continue to stutter even worse. Perhaps just making it a part of the routine before or after school would be a great start. It could also be a great way for her to get some personal time with you and she may look forward to it since there’s a new baby at home! Best wishes to you and your family!
