I take anxiety medication, and I still stutter the same the alprazolam is a controlled substance. So to get prescribed that for stuttering may be a challenge. Also if you have a job that does drug testing. You may want to find out if it can cause a positive drug test. The other medication citalopram I have never had or been on. So I can't tell you if it would or not. I just know with the anxiety, and panic medications I am on there is no change at all. I would say if you want to try it USE CAUTION. On the other hand if that stuff worked so well for stuttering. I think just about everybody who stutters would be on it. Just my opinion. I hope I helped with that, your also still young so you have other methods to try before going that route. Also ALOT of health care providers, don't consider or cover stuttering as a medical issue. So you might want to also check if you will have to pay for the drugs out of pocket. Seeing how the first one is a controlled substance, it could get expensive.
