"Is it possible that stuttering only happens in one place and not at another?" * Yes! This is because we perceive triggers (i.e. situations, letters or conditions) as a justification or anticipation to stutter. * In my own experience, I don't stutter in certain conditions and when I tried to change my condition, then it also changed my perception and then I got triggered to stutter in a situation where I normally don't stutter. * The opposite is also true, where I normally have always stuttered (i.e. when I'm speaking alone or when I"m speaking to a new person who doesn't know that I stutter), whereof I now don't stutter anymore after I changed my condition (which changes my perspection of the stutter trigger) Conclusion: I believe it's more effective if we try to make a general condition instead of a limited condition that only works in one specific situation. If we can master setting a condition to speak like a non-stutterer in all situations (instead of only when I"m alone), then this would be more effective towards our goals
