I find the problem of stuttering to be a matter of “Too normal to be different”. We are expected to function normally in a society that is entirely language based. When we stutter, most people instantly become uncomfortable and judge us off it. It’s sucks. We are 99% the same as everyone else, but judged solely off our speech. I get told “Don’t be sorry” one minute and the next in asked “Are you stupid or something?”. No one else understands how exhausting it is just to speak most of the time. It sucks I agree, but it was the hand we were dealt. That’s why we have text based Internet forums 🤟.
