Video calling with a stutter is hard I started school today and right off the bat, I'm supposed to introduce myself. I already don't like introducing myself, but it's worse when I have to say my name. My name is Jessie, but I can't say the J, so I always stutter on the J. I had to tell my teacher I can't say it while in class and just moved on. I know that most people won't judge, but it's that lingering thought at the back of my mind, so I had a whole crying session while my microphone and camera were off. I even tried a breathing method my speech therapist told me but it still didn't work. Right now, I feel like I should change my name or just don't even attend class. I would prefer to hold up a sign that has my name, but I doubt my teachers would allow me. I just need a bit of comfort right now.
