Generally, disclosing your stutter is empowering because you take ownership of it instead of feeling ashamed of it. BUT, framing it as a “weakness” is still letting it win. Like any job interview question, the best answer flips the question around to be a positive: “My ‘weakness’ is that I work too hard and am loyal to a fault” etc. I view my stutter as something that helps me be thoughtful and observant because I’m not always talking. If you can disclose your stutter to your interviewer in a way like this, it will show thoughtfulness, confidence and honesty. All of these things work great on dates too btw ;). Good luck man!
