I definitely think I have, speech therapy helped my self-esteem a lot and I have kind of figured out the rest on my own. You're forced to speak more as you get older, and practice makes perfect. It is important to realize too that just because you're improving doesn't mean you won't have bad days. Think of it like a batter in baseball. Some days you will go 3-4 with 3 RBIs and other days you will go 0-4 for 2 strikeouts. Life itself is very random, you never know what happens next, stutter aligns with that fairly well. It is great that you like to speak, because the main thing I notice when I speak to little kids about stuttering is that they wish they didn't have to communicate in order to live their life. Other stutters have done great things for the world, why not you?
