There’s nothing intrinsically wrong with settling for a basic job, most people do! The primary difference for a stutterer is that we come pre-equipped with an excuse to settle, whereas other people have to find other excuses. Yeah, stuttering is a bitch to deal with. Everyone has their own problems to deal with. Very few people care about others enough to overpower the voice of self-consciousness. The reality is that most of the things that make people overlook you is because of learned behaviours downstream from the stuttering, not the stuttering itself. The reality is that even without a stutter, you probably would just be an average person, not a charismatic rockstar, and that’s fine.
