I would say so, yes. If you posit an adversary, that's somehow already outside of your control. Perhaps you then think in terms of a fight. But that's not necessarily a good approach. Of course, narratives can work in many ways, depending on interpretation and impact. The main thing to look out for would probably be that our dealing with our stutter actually improved. But I think we could pay attention to the models of understanding we develop through it all. Perhaps _control_ isn't the goal - since it might sound "ultimate", which quickly clashes with the stutter, I believe - but rather a state where we know what we're dealing with and we can communicate the things we want to communicate. The less surprises, the less disruption, confusion, frustration, desperation... it's sort of getting to know yourself in a different way, we could say.
