hear that. But when people speak about controlling stammering and fluency techniques, the feeling is that stammering is not ok. That you should be proud of all of yourself, including being a person who stammers while simultaneously working to control and stop stammering and increase fluency. You presumably work on stopping or controlling a behavior because it is wrong or undesirable. If there is nothing wrong or undesirable about stuttering, why are we teaching this? It sounds like a kind of cognitive dissonance.
