Yep, annoying as shit! I also have tinnitus and I hate it when people say "I also sometimes get a ringing in my ear!" And I'm like bruh this never stops. They mean well so I let it slide but I fucking hate it. Don't hold it against them otherwise it builds resentment and bitterness within yourself.
