Hey friend. I hope you are doing well. I don't know what stage of your life you are in. But i can tell you from personal experience your stutter WILL make you a better person if you can come to think of it as a challenge or an internal competition of sorts ( at least thats what i have done). I remember being angry with myself and the world for years. Avoiding interactions, shuttering at the idea of having to talk. Became reclusive, quiet and all around bitter. But over time I realized i can make it a productive part of my life, both creatively and strengthened my mental fortitude. I began stuttering around third grade. I was mocked, and teased. I would get into fights, and get suspended. But that was before I began to look at the possibility that my stutter pushed me to excel at other aspects of my life. My stutter made me use many word alternatives. Sure i cant say what I originally wanted to say but having to think of new words that wouldn't sound out of place or weird are kind of a mental exercise. This has helped me vastly with my creative writing. I loved to draw comics and write short stories in school and my stutter made my writing much more advanced then other students because it was a part of my daily life coming up with creative ways to speak. I personally love to create characters in games i play and adopt funny personalities to make people laugh when i play. To think of a stutter as solely a handicap, or disability is an easy mindset to fall into and we all have done it at some point in our lives I'm sure. We need to always strive to look at the bright side of every obstacle we face in life. I hope you find this thread helpful. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you feel you need help or feel lost. It pains me to see other person struggle with this because i know how bad you must feel at this point. Just know you will become a stronger person then most at the end of the day. Best wishes From, Mack
