I really agree with this post. Learning to focus on expressing yourself rather than focusing on your speech is very hard to do. At least it has been for me. However I really believe this to be the key to better speech. I have worked for years to change my focus. My goal is to think like a fluent person and not a person with a stutter. I’ve found that when I do this my speech is pretty much fine. It’s not always easy to do though and takes a lot of patience, focus, and practice.
