Answering phones Hi all, first time poster, long time stutterer (21m). I work in an office and am expected to answer the phone if nobody else can get to it. It has only happened twice since I started here about 6 months ago. Just now before writing this I went to answer the phone because our receptionist is away and I need to get better at it - somebody else answered before me so I didn't have to speak to anybody. When I put the phone down I realised my heart rate had at least doubled and I felt sick and anxious about having to answer the phone, I actually started to shake. I've always hated talking on the phone but never like this. Do you think this is a stuttering-related problem, or am I just now finding out how socially anxious I really am?
