I used to do this really really badly, then once randomly out of blue I tried confronting it and ever since it's made it so much easier like stupidly easier. If I get pissed off about my stutter I just say “for fuck sake” or something. It gets a few laughs and rips the tension away. Basically addressing the elephant in the room.
