I have been stuttering since age 7 and I'm now 25. My stuttering used to be so bad I was unable to say two words in a row. I did about 3 years of speech therapy when I was 15 and it helped tremendously. Don't get me wrong, I still stutter and on a bad day and it can get pretty bad. On the other side, I consider myself pretty fluent on a good day. Saying my name has always been hard for me too. When I feel like I'm gonna block, I usually "cheat" by saying "it's <name>" instead of only my name. Here are some general tips: \- Exercise: it's really good to relieve anxiety and I'm more fluent when I'm physically active. \- Don't do drugs: Seriously. I love getting high but I try to control myself since it personnally always made it worse in the long run. \- Sleep enough: My stutter is worse when I am sleep deprived. You are more than your stutter. Ask yourself if you're doing everything you can to make it better. If the answer is no, try to improve things a little, step by step :) I really doubt that over-the-counter drugs or supplements are gonna solve any problem.
