I actually went to grade school with a girl who had a much worse stutter than me, so I think it's more common than we know. I still have some "fears" about cold phone calls and things like that. However, they no longer control my thoughts. I just do what I have to do to make it work. I envision the call, what I have to say and how I'm going to say it and just do it. No more pit of my stomach nervousness anymore. It isn't worth it. I've stuttered here and there but it doesn't bother me nearly as much as it used to. I guess I just got tired of always stressing over it.
