I work as a server, and I have a sign notifying customers of my stutter when greeting tables which takes a lot of the tension off. Maybe consider making something like that and put it on the counter or something? The worst part about stuttering as a worker in customer service is letting people know you have a stutter, so this automatically skips that step.
