I didn't know there was a study, that's really interesting, thanks for letting me know. I wonder if there is a genetic (?) link between stuttering and IQ, or whether it's more that having a stutter forces you to work differently and find alternative ways to communicate. Like the natire nurture debate. (I'm horrible at explaining stuff...sorry. hope this makes sense.)
