I agree about telling the interviewer right off that you stutter. It will probably help some. I'm also wondering what you, OP, and other people on here thing of role playing the interview? Like ten times or more. NOT to not stutter. You're going to stutter during the interview. That is not really the problem, or not the biggest problem. It's how you react to your stuttering that sets the scene. So, what I mean is going over and over a mock interview until you are, at least slightly, more comfortable with the whole scenario. I mean, like 10, 15, 20 times. I don't know if your husband is someone who could pretend to be the interviewer, but is that a possibility? Do you, or anyone else on here think it would help even a bit? I know you're terrified. And not comparing, but even people who do not stutter are often terrified of interviews. Doing mock ones so many times that you get sick of it can actually help. I've seen it. OP? I also wanted to add that getting this job, or another job, as horrifying as it feels now, could be a turning point. There are lots of people on here who got a job, any job to start with, even though they were scared to death, and it started to make a difference. To the point where, thru that kind of exposure and experience, their lives eventually changed. So.....I know this information won't help much now, but *getting a job is probably going to be a good thing to do.* I hope you post again with an update. : ) Edit: typo
