Anyone else in the same boat? Technically we are all in the same in some respect! Long story short I used costal breathing to control my stammer and the difference between as night and day once I knew I was controlling it and it wasn’t controlling me. Although my stammer seems to be “backwards”. Recently it has slipped massively mainly because I stopped putting the effort and time into it as I thought it was controlled. I stammer with my family and close friends a lot more than I do with strangers. Also I struggle at explaining things that I should know such as my name, address or name of a family member for example. I have no problem giving directions to strangers though. I know most people struggle with strangers and are more at ease with family and friends. I highly recommend you learn the costal breathing and I promise you with some slow stressful practice it’ll get better.
