Does anyone feel like stutter is preventing them from being social?

Does anyone feel like stutter is preventing them from being social? So, when i was young i was more fluent or didn't give a damn for what other's thought and as i started growing up and entered teenage my stutter grew worse and worse and i have been socially introverted more and more since then. I just wish that one day i can speak freely without blocks and can be a social person.
