I have a painful and embarrassing memory from secondary school when I stammered trying saying my name in assembly. Everyone laughed at me and even back in my class, my peers were mocking me. Nearly 20 years later and the memory is still with me and brings those physical sensations but of course weaker now. I’ve come a long way now with my confidence but just wanted to tell others that you are definitely not alone and school kids can be absolute arseholes because they lack empathy and probably insecure themselves.
