How Ashwagandha and Desensitization Changed My Life

How Ashwagandha and Desensitization Changed My Life I've struggled with severe stuttering for as long as I can remember. My stutter is so severe that I often feel like I may be the worst stutterer in the world, with every word causing me to stumble, and even short blocks lasting 20 to 30 seconds. This left me feeling completely isolated, without friends to turn to, and my family living overseas, I only speak for 20 minutes a day with my mum on the phone. Last year, I experienced my first panic attack, and since then, I've had regular anxiety hits every day. However, after watching a video online suggesting ashwagandha for anxiety, I decided to give it a try. While there were warnings that it may make me heartless and less sensitive, I ordered one and started taking it daily. Two weeks later, my anxiety disappeared entirely like magic. Although ashwagandha didn't help with my stutter, it did change my reaction to being in a stuttering situation. Embarrassment from stuttering doesn't hurt me anymore, and that's where my journey with systematic desensitization began. I used to care a lot about not wasting other people's time, and I would use an app called Big Note to write what I wanted to say and show it to the other person. After being on Ashwagandha for a couple of weeks things started to change, I stopped using the big note app, I can’t be bothered honestly even if i am gonna waste the entire person’s day,not my problem! I am gonna take my time like an old man crossing the street and they have to wait until i finish. I stopped avoiding words, I would go and order my coffee exactly how I want it on the counter not through the app, i would make that phone call even if i am risking getting hung up on or sounding like a prank caller, at the end of the day stuttering is not illegal. Now that I am completely desensitized, as a courier driver, I no longer feel limited by my stutter and I am ready to apply for new jobs that involve more interaction with people. Wish me luck, guys!
