That’s exactly what I was thinking. Disclosing your stutter from the moment you send your resume could avoid these kind of situations, because (just to be fair) they did not see it coming. There is the possibility that less companies are going to respond. But the ones who do are already aware of your stammer and that should not be an issue. Btw, the part of how stuttering builds resilience is just genius, I would totally lead with that in an interview. I also find it smart to suggest ways in which is easier to communicate: no phone call interviews, give me time to talk and don’t put me under pressure, anything like that is not only helpful to you, but also for them.
