Stutter severity changes due to mental state or other factors?

Stutter severity changes due to mental state or other factors? I feel whenever I'm more confident or having a better time, my speech is almost close to normal. But now I'm not going through my best time, I can't even finish a simple phone call, and I need to make a lot in the next two weeks. Am I the only one? There was a superstition where I'm from that you stutter more when it rains.....k....
